Are you studying IT at a Belgian university or college? Are you working on an innovative idea or (research) project and are you eager to share your experience with international experts from the research and education community? If so, Belnet is offering you the chance to participate as a speaker at the TNC Networking Conference 2022.

This conference, organised by the European research network, GÉANT, will bring together hundreds of IT specialists from the academic and industrial world. This year, the TNC will take place from 13 to 17 June in Trieste (Italy).

GÉANT has developed a special programme to provide young talent with the chance to put their ideas forward during a ‘lightning talk’ at the TNC22. All IT/networking topics qualify. You can highlight a technical, economic, legal, or security aspect of IT.

If your idea is selected, you can participate in TNC22 as a speaker completely free of charge and you will receive tailored coaching in advance to improve your presentation skills.

Practical info

To participate, you must meet several conditions:

  • You are registered on an IT or networking-related course at a Belgian university or college of higher education
  • You are committed to participating in the preparatory events (3 online workshops in April and May) organised by GÉANT
  • You can make time to attend the TNC22 and present your idea during a 5 minute 'Lightning Talk', should your idea be selected
  • You are fluent in English, both written and spoken

Many students have already participated in the program, including a student from the Belnet community. Curious what they thought of this experience? Then watch this video with testimonials.
