Belnet will completely renew the optical backbone of the FPS Chancellery of the Prime Minister. The project allows the Chancellery to make its ICT service offering available to other government organisations more efficiently and more quickly. In this way, Belnet further strengthens its role as a trusted connectivity partner of the federal government.

Last month, Belnet increased the capacity of its primary connection to GÉANT to 100 Gbit/s. The upgrade is part of a general review of the external connectivity of our network. Its implementation has been accelerated in order to respond better to the needs of one of our affiliated research centres.

By the end of the year, we will no longer offer the Belnet Cloud Computing service. We support current users in their efforts to find the alternative that best meets their needs.
