The month of October is traditionally dedicated to cybersecurity. Just like last year, the European research network GÉANT is launching a campaign this autumn to raise awareness of cybersecurity. It is looking for contributions from experts in the European R&E community. Sound like something for you or your colleagues?
The central theme of the campaign, ‘Cyber Hero @ Home’, focuses on the importance of working safely at home. During each week of October, one specific aspect of this will be addressed:
- Week 1 (4-10 October): Be aware of cybercrime
- Week 2 (11-17 October): Protect your network
- Week 3 (18-24 October): Protect your devices
- Week 4 (25-31 October): Protect your identity
Share your expertise
Belnet is playing an active role in the preparation of the campaign and would encourage you to submit a contribution. A great opportunity to share your expertise with a wide audience of students, researchers and staff from NRENs all across Europe.
Taking part is easy and can be done in several ways: you can write a blog or article, give a (video) interview or submit a proposal to give a presentation at one of the webinars during Cyber Security Month.
