Along with our community and (inter)national partner organisations, Belnet is constantly innovating. With the creation of an innovation unit in the Belnet organisation, we are also aiming to address this in a structural way.

We are pooling our forces in areas such as network technology, quantum communications, open science and cybersecurity. This is how Belnet, along with its partners, is contributing to technological development for the research and higher education of the future.

The Belnet network has been a driver of innovation for more than 30 years. Our central position in the Belgian research and (higher) education landscape makes us the partner of choice for developing innovative solutions that will help shape the research and education of tomorrow.

Collaborative projects: joining forces to drive innovation

Innovation is strategically anchored in our organisation and also translates into our active participation in (inter)national projects such as with the pan-European research network GÉANT and the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC). Our main criterion for this is the concrete added value that the project can bring to Belgian research and educational institutions.
