TNC, GÉANT’s annual flagship conference, will take place in Liège in 2027. Belnet and its Luxembourg counterpart, Restena, are honoured to co-host this prestigious event for the European research and education community in Belgium.
TNC is the flagship event of GÉANT, the pan-European network that connects national research and education networks (NRENs) such as Belnet. Each year, the conference brings together more than 900 participants from over 70 countries, including network and cybersecurity specialists, researchers, university representatives, policymakers and technology partners.
As the leading gathering for the international Research & Education community, TNC provides a unique platform for sharing knowledge, fostering new collaborations, and exploring the latest developments in connectivity, digital infrastructure, cybersecurity and identity services.
TNC27 will take place from 7 to 11 June 2027 at the Palais des Congrès in Liège. The venue is located in a city that has undergone a remarkable transformation in recent years and benefits from its strategic proximity to Luxembourg.
Registration for TNC27 will open early next year.
“We are delighted to bring TNC back to Belgium and to be co-hosting the event alongside Restena. We look forward to working closely with GÉANT and all our partners to make the 2027 edition a great success. We hope to welcome many members of our community to Liège next year.”
Dirk Haex, Managing Director of Belnet
“It is a privilege to co-host TNC27 with Belnet in Liège, in a country and city that traditionally welcome many students from Luxembourg. I am looking forward to yet another close cooperation with our partners and friends in the heart of Europe, in the spirit of collaboration that defines our R&E community.”
Gilles Massen, Director of the Restena Foundation
